Through his use of forms, he intimately looks at what it means to exist and the connections within the world. Most importantly, form is the driving force behind both of these works. His Diptych series is a natural extension of his nude images in both he explores the world from new perspectives and reflects on the readability of his subjects. Thus, despite seeming like a departure from his typical work, his diptychs actually expand on ideas explored in his well-known images. In thinking about these questions, that past experience is reflected on and becomes enhanced, beginning a metamorphosis through the act of looking and comparing. One has to wonder: why did he shoot this the way he did? What connection did his mind make that led to this connection? There was clearly a similar mood that intuitively caught the eye, and seeing that brings a new level of significance to the images. Subconsciously his eye had sought connections, approaching different subject matters with similar approaches. He described it as a sense of deja vu, a connection between images from different worlds as well as times. Looking back through his archive of images, he discovered similarities between photos taken years apart. Yes, both deal with a dichotomy in some way, but this seems to be where the connection ends. His work with diptychs, at first glance, seems to be a completely different direction for him. ![]() By doing so, he explores dualities like dream and reality, beauty and ugliness. These images involve women’s bodies overlaid with projections of the earth, transforming the human form into something almost recognizable. The app turns your videos and photos into a collage you can share with friends and family quickly with no wait times for rendering or other behind the scenes processes. The interface is easy to understand, laying out the process in steps that are clear and easy to follow. Conclusionĭiptic Video has all the tools you need to make video and photo collages in only a few steps. I can see how that would be a neat thing to receive, but I just wonder if it's something people will really use time and again instead of just sending a single video or a photo. With Diptic Video, you could include a couple of the best photos from the picnic, then have a couple of sequential videos play to show some of the action. I'm imagining sending a collage to a grandparent to show the kids at a picnic. One thing I did find appealing was the ability to mix in photos alongside the video. You also can adjust the volume for both the audio from videos as they were shot and your selected music. Here, you can touch a button to make your videos loop indefinitely, pick from your music library to act as background music, and set the time that all the videos will stop. After you've selected the videos for your collage, you can hit play in the upper right corner to watch a preview on the next screen, where you have several more options. You also have the option to play videos in reverse. By default, the app will start all videos simultaneously, but even with only a few frames in your collage, that can get overwhelming for the viewer quickly. Adjusting each frameĪlong with being able to focus on the action in each frame, you also have several options for how each video plays. You also can touch a frame to flip videos and photos horizontally or vertically, adjust brightness and contrast, and adjust the frame borders. Once you've chosen your photos and videos, you can touch within a frame to reposition them so your audience will see all of the action.
